My name is Jessica. I grew up in church, but over the last few years I’ve spent far more time inside movie theaters than I have in a church pew. In matters of faith I consider myself a hopeful agnostic, but there’s something that happens between the screen and my seat—something holy, something sacred—that keeps me connected to the divine.

This is a space for me to capture some of that spark and share it with hapless film lovers who stumble upon this site. I couldn’t write a proper review or critique to save my life, so for the most part you can expect my (fairly) unedited thoughts and reactions. I might throw in a few feelings, too, to make my therapist proud.

For now, everything I post here is free. Eventually, I may add a paid version, but if you subscribe before that happens I’ll happily grandfather you in if you ask :)

Sign up now so you don’t miss a thing. (That sounds way more dramatic than it actually is, I promise.)
